This policy describes how Basketweaver handles information in its native mobile apps and web converter. The services are ad-supported and provided "as is".

Native conversion runs on your device. Media selected from your device is processed by the app for conversion. Network features, advertising, app distribution, and operating-system services may still exchange requests and related technical information with their providers.

The native apps use Google AdMob. Google describes its data practices in its own policies.

For a local-file conversion, local media stays in your browser and the conversion runs there. It is not sent to Basketweaver's linked-media import endpoint.

When you paste a supported link, the link and linked media bytes are transiently proxied through Basketweaver's infrastructure into your browser. Those media bytes are not intentionally retained in object storage, databases, analytics, or durable queues. Temporary in-memory data and browser object URLs are released as the request and conversion lifecycle ends.

The web converter records coarse product events such as source kind, conversion start, completion, and a fixed failure category. These events do not include source URLs, filenames, titles, duration, dimensions, bitrate, trim settings, IP addresses, or a stable user ID.

Operational infrastructure may process IP addresses and ordinary request metadata for delivery, security, abuse prevention, and reliability. Infrastructure providers apply their own retention and privacy practices.

The web converter uses Google AdSense. AdSense and consent providers may process data under their own policies. Advertising is kept separate from conversion controls and results. Where a consent decision is required by the configured provider, ad requests remain closed until that provider reports readiness; this statement is a product description, not a legal-compliance guarantee.

You can stop native-app activity by uninstalling the app. On the web, you can leave the site, decline advertising consent when the provider offers that choice, or use browser controls to clear site data.
